Nordson MEDICAL has partnered with CareerWise Colorado to mold the future of advanced manufacturing talent through an innovative youth apprenticeship program. Among Nordson MEDICAL's apprentices is Margaret, a high-school student at Colorado Early Colleges.

CareerWise and Nordson produced a video highlighting Margaret and her mentor, Sarah. The video captures the new faces of advanced manufacturing and how traditional stereotypes no longer apply.

Through youth apprenticeship, Nordson is breaking down the long-held stigma attached to manufacturing career paths, and paving the way for more women and young people to launch successful careers in manufacturing specialty positions.

Apprentices benefit through meaningful work experience and access to debt-free college credit and industry certifications. Because youth apprentices earn less compared to their adult counterparts, their production quickly outpaces the investment made in their development over the three-years they're with us.

"It's a feeling of relief to know where I want to go," says Margaret.
