Hospitals and other healthcare facilities depend on a variety of catheters, tubing and syringes to deliver medications and other substances to patients through vascular, enteral, respiratory, epidural and intrathecal delivery systems. Nordson MEDICAL is well positioned to help you with your ISO 80369-6 neuraxial anesthesia tubing connection needs. ISO 80369 is a global initiative intended to prevent misconnections of small-bore connectors in hospitals. Nordson MEDICAL components are designed, tested, qualified, and documented to be compliant with the new standard.
Hospitals have begun using Nordson MEDICAL's wide variety of quick couplings, luer fittings and tube-to-tube connectors, and their adoption rate is continuing to increase. Our neuraxial anesthesia connectors are small, lightweight, and offer comfort and compliance. While there is no standard color requirement, we offer clear and yellow-tint medical-grade connectors and caps. The female connectors showcase wings and the male connectors have an easy-to-grip hub. With bond-in pocket tubing sizes of 2.1 mm and 3.1 mm outside diameters in both the male and female connectors, and both venting and non-venting caps and plugs, we offer a range of connectors. Neuraxial anesthesia connectors are ideally used in epidural and spinal injection procedures worldwide.
The LinkTech line of quick disconnects are offered in various sizes ranging from 1/16" hose barbs to 3/8" hose barbs. They are available in several different materials including acetal (POM), chrome-plated brass, as well as greater chemically-resistant polypropylene.
The luer connectors and fittings come in a range of configurations for joining tubing from 1/16" (1.6 mm) ID to 1/4" (6.4 mm) ID and include many color options. We also offer the broadest selection of barbed tube-to-tube fittings, including straight tube connectors, Y connectors, multiport connectors, elbow fittings, and tee fittings, all with reducer options. Sizes range from 1/16" (1.6 mm) to 1" (25.4 mm) ID.
