Nordson MEDICAL offers designers worldwide the broadest selection of male luer and female luer fittings and connectors, luer adapters and luer accessories. Over 120 separate configurations are offered in nylon, polypropylene, polycarbonate and PVDF, with many color and special material options available from stock or upon special order. Our male and female luers are available with tubing connections that fit many tubing materials ranging from 1/16" (1.6 mm) to 1/4" (6.4 mm) IDs, with threaded ends and panel mount versions also available.
Nordson MEDICAL's luer fittings are part of a standardized system of small-scale tubing connectors used to make secure leak-proof unions in medical devices and laboratory instruments. The special 6% of a luer fitting provides a unique secure friction seal appropriate for gas and fluid connections. The Nordson MEDICAL barb (on luer fittings featuring a barbed tubing connection) has no parting lines on the barb to ensure a leak-free tubing union.
Our Online Store offers the broadest selection of luer fittings and connectors in the industry.
The two main categories of luer fittings are luer locks and luer slips:
The 6% tapered cone luer standard was developed in 1896. The first standard for luer applications for plastic products was published in 1955. Because the standard is understood worldwide and results in economical, reliable and inexpensive components, it is employed in thousands of medical devices worldwide.
All Nordson MEDICAL luer locks, adapters and accessories are made to the ISO-594-1 and ISO 594-2 standards, and may be connected to other luer fittings meeting these ISO standards. If your application requires mating components from multiple suppliers, please test your application to verify the performance of the interconnection as other manufacturers' products may not meet the international standard.
