Compliant to the ISO 80369-5 Standard
With the publication of the new ISO 80369-5 limb cuff inflation standard for blood pressure cuffs, many organizations will move away from the use of ISO 594 luers and other parts which can misconnect and move towards this new worldwide standard – bayonet-style connectors. The tight dimensional specifications for the compliant connectors will drastically reduce the probability of a misconnection.
Nordson MEDICAL has modified designs for parts to be 100% compliant with the blood pressure male connectors that fit singly or in pairs on blood pressure cuffs. These industry-standard male connectors work well with bayonet-style female connectors, both compliant and non-compliant. The Nordson MEDICAL single-barb designs offer an excellent secure connection with better tensile pull results and hydrostatic burst testing results than traditional multi-barb designs, and the toughness of the DuPont Zytel nylon is well proven.
